Elite HK Corporation was founded by Mr. Silas Tam (retired) in 1973, year of
incorporation.  The business relocated to 5 Bowery at the base of Confucius Plaza in
1979 and was successful for many years in various retail ventures.  Elite HK Corporation
commenced its operations in engraving and recognition awards around 1995 and
catered to various business organizations and associations in lower Manhattan and
Chinatown.  In 2000, Victor and Maria (Tam) Pei purchased the business from the family
and started to build the company into a full-service graphics enterprise.

Elite HK Corporation services many clients large and small.  Our competitive advantage
is our persistent effort to provide the very best products and services possible while
working hard to meet your deadlines.   We specialize in Chinese typesetting and graphic
skills.  We also have the technical background to support your projects.  We endeavor to
keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry and align ourselves with the
leaders in the field.  We continue to be active members of both the Awards Recognition
Association (ARA), an international group of concerned retailers and suppliers in the
awards industry and the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) and
through these organizations have many resources to help you with various recognition
and incentive programs.

Our client list is extensive and include, not only businesses of all kinds, but various civic
groups, associations, organizations, hospitals, religious entities, schools, media
companies, and the like.  We are also proud to work with many law enforcement groups
in our community.  The majority of our work is in Chinese and English, but we have had
opportunity to do work in Spanish, Yiddish, Korean, Vietnamese, Polish and Russian.

Biography - Victor Pei

Born in Hong Kong, Victor Pei immigrated to the United States at the early age of six.  He
grew up in San Diego, California and studied civil engineering at San Diego State
University prior to transferring to and graduating from the School of Architecture at
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  In 1979, he traveled to New
York to seek out the advice of his first cousin, the world famous architect, Ieoh Ming Pei,
and to start his own professional architectural career.  He began in the design firm of
Helpern Architects and rose to the position of Senior Associate, remaining with the firm
for 17 years.  Mr. Pei then established his own professional corporation as an
independent architectural consultant, but immediately thereafter joined the large
architectural-engineering firm of Wank Adams Slavin Associates where he also held the
position of Senior Associate.  In total Mr. Pei successfully practiced architecture in New
York City for over 21 years with clients in both the public and private sectors.  He is very
knowledgeable in both old and new buildings and particularly enjoys contemporary
design, religious work, restoration and historic preservation.  During his architectural
career he was a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and was an active
member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater New
York.  He served for six years as a member of the Board of Managers and as the
facilities chairman at the Vanderbilt YMCA in Midtown Manhattan.  Mr. Pei continues to be
a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Although licensed in New York State, Mr. Pei is currently inactive as an architect.  
Presently he has turned his focus to become a successful business entrepreneur and
owner/president of Elite HK Corporation.  The company, established in 1972 by his
father-in-law and located at 5 Bowery in Chinatown since 1979, started its operations in
engraving and recognition awards in 1995.  In year 2000, Mr. Pei and his wife, Maria
(Tam) Pei, purchased the family business and started to build the company into a
full-service graphics enterprise, catering to businesses of all kinds, including various
civic groups, associations, organizations, hospitals, religious entities, schools, media
companies, law enforcement entities, government agencies, and the like.  Mr. Pei is an
active member of the Awards Recognition Association (ARA), an international group of
concerned retailers and suppliers in the awards industry and was instrumental in
establishing the local ARA Greater Metro Branch.  In year 2011, he attained the
prestigious title of Certified Recognition Specialist (CRS) from the ARA following years of
educational achievement and participation with the association.  He is also an active
member of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), an organization
with extensive resources in worldwide promotional products.  He was formerly the
Executive Director of the Asian American Business Network Corporation and is always
supportive of various community improvement groups.  He continues to be
advisor/consultant to such organizations as the Chinatown Partnership Local
Development Corporation and the Better Chinatown Society.  He also serves as Vice
President of the Pistol Club of Greater Chinatown New York Inc. and is a member of the
Lin Sing Association.
